adventure

In this exhilarating experience, learn from an expert trainer on how to balance and paddle a practice dragon boat and watch a steersman in action on board. There is also an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the storeroom, dubbed “The Nursery”, where they keep the precious dragon heads and tails that decorate the competitive boats.

Dragon boat racing is a popular team paddling sport in Singapore which originated in southern China more than 2,000 years ago. The races were originally part of a celebration that marked the summer rice planting season, and Singapore holds an annual race in homage to this traditional practice.
Being on a dragon boat provides a perspective of Singapore unseen from land. As you glide through the Marina Reservoir, see Singapore’s 55,000-seat National Stadium, the Singapore Flyer, the Formula One track and Pit Building, the two conservatories of the Gardens by the Bay South and the Marina Barrage. With views unseen from the typical River Cruises, prepare to be overwhelmed!
